What happens when you stop asking what marriage is supposed to look like and start asking what you actually want it to feel like?
A few weeks ago, we got married at our home and private lakeside sanctuary, Phoenix Rising Retreats. But this wasn't a traditional wedding. We created a deeply personal weaving of vows rooted in Tantra, ritual, nature, community, and consciously choosing one another.
In Part 1, we're taking you inside the experience, from elemental altars and fire rituals to the traditions we happily threw out the window. More importantly, we explore what our wedding taught us about releasing old patterns, questioning the relationship "shoulds" we've inherited, and creating a relationship that feels unapologetically like your own.
We're not finished taking you inside our Tantric wedding just yet.
Part 2 will be released next week, where we'll take you even deeper into our ceremony, rituals, and the meaning behind our weaving of vows.
If you and your partner are ready to consciously create a new chapter together, this is exactly the kind of work we explore inside our Couples Retreats.
Our next intimate Couples Retreat is November 5-9 at our private sanctuary surrounded by forest and lake in North Kawartha, Ontario.
Together, we explore conscious communication, connection, intimacy, nervous system regulation, embodiment, and practical relationship tools you can continue using long after you return home.
